Gave the healthcare keynote on “Healthcare on the Cloud, from Taboo to Common Sense” at the CSA Malaysia Summit 2018. I sit on the CSA APAC research advisory council.

Presented a talk on “understanding digital transformation and how to get started” to ITSM professionals at the Pink ASIA ITSM 2018 event.

I spoke on healthcare providers leveraging new technology from cloud, mobile, big data and wearables to engage patients to own and participate in their own care at the MIMS Partner Summit 2018.

Speaking at the AWS ASEAN Partner Summit 2018 about our (Strateq) journey as an ISV on AWS, building our healthcare solutions and petrol retail solutions on AWS, leveraging their tools for automation, analytics and IOT. We can help healthcare groups run their hospitals with the agility of a startup, pushing 2 weeks sprints for new features and services for patients and then going live in less than 2 months.

Speaking on a panel with YB Nik Nazmi* at the PJ Startup Festival organised by MBPJ. Our panel was titled “AI, Future of Jobs & Society” and we spoke about the impact of AI and the 4th industrial revolution on jobs. We touched on disruption and the impact to people’s livelihoods. We discussed the need to be inclusive in their cultivation of STEM education, to bring women along and vocational school kids as well.

I had the privilege of being one of 6 in a panel of judges at a Hackathon organised by Hacking Health KL chapter.

I participated in an informal debate at CIO Magazine’s KL CIO 2014 conference at the Intercontinental. The topic was “Can LOB managers take the place of a CIO?” Bill Limond, CIO of Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, UK and myself argued against the proposition while, while Meng Chief Technology Officer of MIMOS & Bobby Varansi, IAOP Ambassador and Chair – Pacific Rim Advisory Board argued for. The audience voted Bill & I as the winners, but honestly Bill did all the work. I kept my contributions to a minimal in the presence of one so experienced and knowledgable
